Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 11 July 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses BookByOnline. It exists to keep the Platform safe, lawful and trustworthy. Breaching it may lead to content removal, feature restriction, suspension or termination.

Illegal activity & prohibited businesses

You must not use the Platform for anything illegal, or to offer or promote unlawful goods or services. We may prohibit or restrict high-risk or unlawful categories (for example unlicensed regulated services, illegal drugs, weapons, or sexually exploitative content).

Spam & unlawful messaging

Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, use the Platform's booking, review or campaign features to spam, or contact people who have not consented or who have opted out. Respect e-privacy and marketing laws at all times.

Fraud & deceptive conduct

No fraud, payment abuse, impersonation, misleading listings, or manipulation of bookings, deposits or refunds. Do not create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity or business.

Fake reviews & manipulation

Do not post, solicit or incentivise fake, biased or defamatory reviews, or suppress genuine feedback unlawfully. Ratings must reflect real experiences.

Harassment & harmful content

No harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that is defamatory, obscene or harmful to others. Treat customers, staff and other users with respect.

Malware & security abuse

Do not upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or disrupt the Platform, bypass security or rate limits, or interfere with other users' use of the service.

Reverse engineering & scraping

Do not reverse engineer or decompile the Platform, scrape or bulk-harvest data, or use bots to extract content except through interfaces we expressly provide.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, restrict or suspend access, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. We aim to act proportionately and, where practical, to give notice and an opportunity to remedy.
